Hello, I'm Brooklynn

My mission for Sisters Keeper is that women can meet and have a safe space to feel included, supported and encouraged. I am passionate in helping young women develop their gifts and talents and most importantly navigate and succeed through life's hills and valleys. The bible talks about the meaning of true sisterhood in 1 John 2:10-11: 10 'Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness.' Sisterhood is a bond that goes beyond being family. It connects women to each other and in its most magical manifestations, allows each woman in the sisterhood to thrive in ways she could never do on her own. At Sisters Keeper we believe that sisterhood works best when each woman is able to move easily between giving and receiving. Sisterhood provides a safe space for your truest self to emerge.

My Story

My name is Brooklynn Porter. I am the Co-founder of Sisters Keeper & Chief Executive Officer of Hope City Records. I have decades of experience as an educator, musician, writer and business woman. I studied African American Studies, Sociology & Education at The Ohio State University. After college, I taught in the school systems for over a decade and then worked as program developer for a local youth mentoring organization. I believe that my assignment from God is to use my expertise to build platforms for Christians to share great uplifting content and help give the world hope. My business partner; Trudy and I chose at this time to create an organization called Sisters Keeper, Where Women, Women-preneurs, Visionaries, Artist, Creatives and Believers can come be embraced and empowered by sisterhood and impact the next generation. Although I have helped many successful businesses streamline their operations and gross millions for their companies, my call and passion is and will always be teaching. To my core I am an educator. Sisters Keeper is something that is near and dear to my heart because it allows me to bring unity amongst my peers, teach the present generation and impact the future leaders of tomorrow.

I was born and raised in Columbus, OH. During my tenure as an educator I have taught thousands of young people. I believe in shaping the minds of the next generation. I have experienced first hand how powerful building relationships with people can impact the lives of others. Cultivating Godly relationships allows us to see the best of who we are in the eyes of others. As a professional musician I had the opportunity to travel all over the United States working for many different artists. I was one of the most demanded session musicians in my area before taking a break to focus on running my own business and working in corporate America. Sisters Keeper was birthed out of the quest to grow Hope City Records, we were running into a recurring issue. We set out to find an all women band, women producers and professionals. The lack of diversity and opportunity in the industry of music was evident. I retired from being a professional musician/producer over a decade ago and focused my attention on my business career. Unbeknownst to me, after returning back to the music industry, it hadn’t really developed much for women in the field of music, arts and business. It is my hope that Sisters Keeper will bring awareness to more women and empower other women to do whatever it is that they are called to do no matter the general population of that field.

Trudy and I met in 2023 at work. I would have never imagined that our friendship/sisterhood would be such as it is today. The gift of trust and transparency cannot be shared with just anyone. We had an instant connection and it has been an amazing ride with my sister. I’ve learned a long time ago that in order to have a healthy, sustaining friendship, there needs to be complete authenticity and happiness for one another. There are some things in life that only women understand and to have another Christ-centered woman in your life that loves you unconditionally is what I hope every woman experiences in their lifetime. Friendship and sisterhood requires unconditional love, because we are human. As human beings we will not always get it right, say the right things, agree on everything and or always have kumbaya moments but this is where you see who loves you for you, and not for what you can do for them. It's a blessing to have a special friend-sister that sees you, and knows when something could be on your mind or bothering you. We both know when to do a sister check in with one another. We take the time to sit with each other and listen to one another. To have that is an incredible blessing. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her and I undoubtedly know there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for me and for that I honor her as my sister. Trudy has recharged by hope and faith in humanity. My purpose is safe with her. The validation and affirmation that comes from being truly seen by another person is what makes community and especially sisterhood so powerful and meaningful. I am forever grateful for my amazing sister Trudy and she is so very special to me and we are going to do amazing things through God for his purpose for many years to come!

Hello, I'm Trudy

My mission for Sisters Keeper for women to live meaningful lives in God. I have a passion for helping young women and single mothers, showing them how to navigate and juggle the many responsibilities through life. I want to show women that through adversity in life, you can always pivot! My favorite scripture is Isiah 40:31 'But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.' Through it all in life, its important to know that God is with us and having the faith and patience will lead you to the purpose and plans that God has set forth for you. At Sisters Keeper we believe that there is an energy that connects us as women and if we can learn to tap into that energy, we truly will change the world.

My Story

My name is Trudy Fischer. I am the Co-founder of Sisters Keeper and Chief Marketing Officer of Hope City Records. I currently reside in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Born and raised in Morgan County. I have three siblings, two adult children and two grandsons. I attended Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio where she completed the Licensed Practical Nursing program in 2012.

I have held several leadership positions throughout her nursing career in healthcare including Marketing for the past five years. I was taught at a very young age about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I led praise & worship service in my church and taught Sunday School. I have always had a love for music, in particular gospel music. Music has always been an outlet and has always played an important role throughout my life. In 2023 I started the second half of my career as an Executive Director for an Assisted Living facility. I met Brooklynn Porter in May of 2023 and there was an instant connection. God placed Brooklynn in my path at a very confusing time in my life; failed marriage, raising children as a single mother caused me to lose sight of what was really important and that was God. Little did I know this relationship would turn into an opportunity to do what I love, which is marketing and to be able and to place God at the center of what I was doing was extremely important to me.

With much prayer the Lord instructed me to join Hope City Records as an official partner. Brooklynn began encouraging me to reveal my true talents and gifts. Sisters Keeper was birthed out of our quest to grow Hope City Records, we were running into a recurring issue. We set out to find an all women band, women producers and professionals. The lack of diversity and opportunity in the industry of music was evident. We choose at this time to create an organization called Sisters Keeper, Where Women, Women-preneurs, Visionaries, Artist, Creatives and Believers can come be embraced & empowered by sisterhood and impact the current and next generation. Encouraging and providing support to women, and that is very important and near and dear to our heart. I started writing music and spending more time in the presents of God. As God began to reveal to me the work He had in store for me.

Brooklynn’s friendship has been like no other friendship I have ever had. Brooklynn’s relationship with God has been shown in her day to day life and activities. Brooklynn encouraged me to focus on myself and has taught me the importance of self-care, but most importantly how to find my way back to God. Our friendship has turned into a true sisterhood. True friends know what you need and when you need it. Brooklynn knows when to say what I need to hear and she knows when to just be present. As humans, sometimes I feel we have a difficult time connecting with God because we can’t physically see him, that's why I truly believe He places individuals in our path to feel that space and my person is Brooklynn Porter, she is my true friend, my sister and my best-friend.
